Emma-Shay 'Homage' | Melbourne Guitar Festival Livestream Concert

Australian classical guitarist, Emma-Shay Gallenti-Guilfoyle, delights international audiences with her charming persona. Known for her musical and sensitive playing, Emma-Shay enjoys sharing diverse and compelling repertoire which covers the spectrum of expression from joy and adoration to mourning and melancholy.

‘Homage’ pays respect to the versatility of the guitar through an exploration of compositional homages throughout the ages.

From Elizabethan lutanist John Dowland’s Galliard in honour of his sovereign, to Manuel de Falla’s emotionally compact tribute to his dear friend Claude Debussy, to Phillip Houghton’s deeply retrospective sonata drawing inspiration from Shakespeare’s ‘Ophelia’, as well as Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s virtuosic dedication to his countryman Luigi Boccherini.

Join us in stunning high definition for this unique livestream concert at 7pm AEST, 11am CEST.
