Our program is based around the sounds and colours that make the classical guitar sing. To paraphrase Chopin, no better does the guitar sing its song than in duo.

Contra Guitar Duo is the joint project of Emma-Shay Gallenti-Guilfoyle and Hamish Strathdee. United by their passion to bring audiences music they love, Hamish and Emma-Shay are excited to showcase the varied and rich expressive capabilities of the guitar duo as an ensemble.

The program will feature works by Ross Edwards, Giacomo Puccini, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Clarice Assad, Alexandre Tansman and Nigel Westlake.

PARKING

There is undercover parking available on the QUT campus for a $10 flat fee under P Block. See map below for directions. Follow Gardens Point Road (yellow) and at the roundabout take the first exit (purple) to the carpark entrance. In the lift press 4 to arrive on the Ground Floor right near Old Government House.
